LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner Women's Lacrosse continued its challenging early-season slate on Wednesday, March 4, hosting receiving votes (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan University at the Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales, Florida. Despite a 17-9 final, the Royals displayed resilience, balanced scoring, and continued growth against another strong opponent.
Warner battled throughout the contest, matching Tennessee Wesleyan's intensity and showing improvement on both ends of the field. The Royals generated consistent offensive opportunities and capitalized on key possessions while continuing to develop chemistry against high-level competition.
Morgan Van Auken led the Royals offensively with three goals, continuing her strong run of form. Vanessa Lynch added two assists, helping orchestrate Warner's attack and create scoring chances.
In the midfield and defensive areas, the Royals turned in a collective effort. Abigail Petrillo, Kaylin Brown, Van Auken, and Makenna Day each recorded three ground balls, highlighting Warner's ability to compete for possession. Defensively, Ava Dany and Anaya Lister each caused a turnover, contributing to the Royals' pressure against the Bulldogs.
Warner's performance reflected continued progress, as the Royals remain focused on building consistency and execution as the season moves forward.
The Royals will remain at home as they prepare to host New England College on March 6 at the Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales, Florida.
