Warner Royals are your SUN Conference Regular Season Champions for both Esports: Overwatch and Rocket League! Rocket League went on to win the Sun Conference Championship tournament. Overwatch, down a starter, went on to place second in their tournament as well! The Lord has brought some talented Esports players to join Warner's nationally ranked esports program!

Rocket League
Rocket League had a great record for their inaugural season in SUN conference. Andrew "BigWade" Wade, a recent graduate from King University in Tennessee, is a current graduate student and the captain of the Warner Rocket League team. Andrew most notably had the highest goals of the season with 38 total goals scored. Colton "Spade" Herrin, a recent transfer from Missouri Valley College, had the most overall points with a combined score of 12047 and the second highest number of goals at 28. Colton had the most saves with 40 saves on goal. The second most saves was from Alexavier "Wisdom" Schwartz with 32 total saves and 23 goals. Alexavier is a local student graduating from Frostproof High School. Alex notably had a standout performance against Southeastern and improved the most during his short window with the Royals. The Royals Rocket League team looks to compete for another championship title at University of Kentucky Knoxville this upcoming April at the VOLAN Spring Championship which takes place the weekend of April 10th - April 12th. Checkout the live post tournament interview from Andrew Wade to hear about the heart of our Rocket League team below and what God is doing in our esports program.

OVERWATCH
Warner's Overwatch team had a perfect run during the regular season. The Royals never lost a map thanks to the star Freshman tank Chandler "Chan" Strohmeier. It was a challenge being down a support player the whole season, but thankfully the team had Kylan "Kyoto/Azrael" Parsons and Jonathan "Iceboy" Hustey who stepped up and into positions they do not play when the team needed them most. It was a constant race between Jaden "Flash" Brown, a recent transfer from Full Sail University and Caleb "Hammer" Chang, a recent graduate from Converse University and a current graduate student, to see who would come out on top with the most eliminations each match. Jaden nicknamed "Lebron" has formerly been the Rank 1 mouse and keyboard player in the world for Halo: Infinite and Caleb is known across the country as one of the best Torbjörns in the game. Kody "F1ynt" Flynt is the captain for Warner's Overwatch team, he recently adopted the main support role due to roster changes at the PlayVS national championship tournament where the Royals placed 5th nationally back in December at the University of Akron in Ohio. Kody has been at the center of this roster and impressively has become a rising competitor at the amateur level as a Main Support in the broader Overwatch scene. In the tournament the Royals took a convincing 3-0 win over Keiser and fell in Grand Finals to SCAD to finish the tournament with a second place finish. March 21st-22nd the Overwatch team travels to the University of Kentucky with their full roster back in uniform to take the UKY: Showdown Championship at the end of the month where they will face teams like: Bellevue, Ohio State, Texas A&M, University of Texas at Dallas, Arizona State, and many more.

COACHES COMMENTS

Coach Merritt asks that fans and alumni would support the Esports teams in prayer, asking that the Lord would continue to bring talented players, provision and continued vision to the expanding program as they seek to be a light in a dark place on the frontier of the digital space.
