LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University Track & Field program is preparing for its biggest stage of the outdoor season as the Royals head to Asheville, North Carolina for the 2026 NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. The national meet will take place May 20-22 at Karl Straus Track, featuring the top athletes from across the NAIA competing for national titles and All-American honors.
Warner enters the championship meet with qualifiers across both the men's and women's competitions following a strong 2026 outdoor campaign filled with record-setting performances, conference success, and national qualifying marks.
Leading the way for the Royals is senior sprinter Cohen Gallant, who qualified in the men's 100-meter dash with a blazing 10.39 mark and enters the championship field ranked among the nation's top competitors. Gallant will also help lead Warner's men's 4x100-meter relay team onto the national stage after the Royals posted a qualifying time of 40.28 during the outdoor season.
Freshman standout Blessing Ogundiran will represent Warner in both the women's 100-meter and 200-meter dash events after an incredible debut outdoor season. Ogundiran qualified with marks of 10.98 in the 100m and 23.59 in the 200m, continuing her rise as one of the top sprinters in the NAIA.
In the hurdles, junior Daishaun Gossett qualified for the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.51 and will additionally compete as part of the Royals' 4x100-meter relay squad. Fellow junior Timothy Brown also earned a national qualifying mark in the men's 400-meter hurdles, entering the meet with a 52.82 performance.
Warner's field event competitors will also look to make their mark in Asheville. Sophomore Ryan Dube qualified in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.39 meters, while junior Stacy White secured a spot in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.71 meters.
The Royals' men's 4x100-meter relay team, consisting of Dylan McArty, Cohen Gallant, Daishaun Gossett, and Nathan Dawes, enters nationals after posting one of the top relay times in program history.
Competition for Warner begins Wednesday afternoon with the men's 4x100-meter relay prelims and women's 200-meter prelims before continuing throughout the week with sprint, hurdle, and field event competition. Athletes advancing through preliminary rounds will compete for national finals appearances later in the championship meet.
The 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships marks another milestone moment for the Warner Track & Field program as the Royals continue building momentum on the national level and showcasing their talent among the NAIA's best.
