Sydney Jones is beginning her first-year coaching with the Lady Royals softball program as the Head J.V. Coach.
Before joining the Royals coaching staff, Jones began her coaching career as the Junior Varsity head coach at Frostproof High School and coaching local travel ball teams. The last three years Jones has been the Assistant Coach at South Florida State College in Avon Park, FL.
Born and raised in Lake Wales, Fla., Jones was a 2011 graduate of Frostproof Senior High School. Jones played for Webber International University from 2011-2015, winning a conference title and obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduating from WIU Jones continued her education at Polk State College, completing the Education Preparatory Institute to become a teacher. She was employed with the Polk County School Board for 3 years before moving to the School Board of Highlands County where she is in her second year. Coach Jones currently teaches 7th Grade Math at Sebring Middle School and resides in Sebring, FL.
