Warner Sport Responsibilities: Football, Men's/Women's Basketball, Track and Field/Cross Country
Austin begins his 1st year with the Warner Royals as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. In addition to helping keep the Royals health top priority, Austin also takes on various duties within the organization that makes the Sports Medicine Program run fluently; one of which is assisting with COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.
Along with being a certified and licensed (Florida) Athletic Trainer, Pierpont has obtained his Emergency Cardiac Care certificate through the American Red Cross.
A graduate of Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ), Pierpont received his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in population health and healthcare management. While at OUAZ, he was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for women's soccer, men's basketball, and baseball. Here he utilized Blood Flow Restriction, biofeedback, and postural restoration exercises.
Prior to his tenure at Ottawa University, Pierpont completed his undergraduate work at Metropolitan State University of Denver, receiving his bachelor's degree in athletic training. Here, he worked with MSU Denver softball, men's basketball, Denver University alpine skiing, the South Metropolitan Fire Department, and the Colorado Avalanche.
Pierpont is currently working on obtaining more certifications and experience to become a more well rounded athletic trainer. When Austin is not practicing athletic training, he enjoys playing golf, mountain biking, skiing, lifting weights, spending time with his family and playing with dogs.
