LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University Clay Target team has leaped to the next level as all three Warner coaches pass the National Sporting Clay Association Instructor Level 1 certification focused on safety.
The Warner coaching staff joins only 66 other people certified in the state of Florida at NSCA Level 1. To view the other certified instructors in the state and around the nation

To be an NSCA Instructor Level 1 instructor you must meet the following criteria…
- Be an active member of NSCA
- Be 18 years or older
- Have at least two years of shotgun shooting experience
- Have taken lessons (2 hours) from Level II or equivalent before the course
- Meet the Shooting Proficiency Requirement by EITHER having earned an NSCA C-Class rating at some point and shot a minimum of 3,000 lifetime registered targets OR by passing a basic Shooting Proficiency Test (SPT) during the course.

Peter Jones Student coach, and Ed Lamb Voluntary coach.

Doug Elmore stated, "A NSCA Level 1 certificate raises our coaches level of safety which is our top goal every day. This certification allows our coaches to teach the finer points of shooting with major focus on the "why" we miss a shot, not the where."
The Royals Clay Target team is gearing up to host their biggest event to date the "Pull for Warner" held on December 7
th, 2019. This event was rescheduled due to weather earlier on in the fall.
