Jeff Sikes

             Warner University Baseball Head Coach Jeff Sikes, begins his 38th season at the helm of the Royals Baseball Program. His is the longest tenured Head Coach in the NAIA’s The Sun Conference, and the only Coach to have been a part of every season in the Conference’s history. As Head Coach of the Royals, he has amassed a Career Coach Record of 1095-817-5. He enters the 2021 Season as the 6th Winningest Career Coach among active NAIA mentors.
 
Under Coach Sikes, The Royals have made 11 NAIA Regional or Opening Round Appearances. The 2001 version of the Royals won the Southeast Regional Championship, followed that up with a Super Regional Series win and then went on to the 2001 NAIA World Series where they finished 5th. In that 2001 Season Sikes earned NAIA Conference and Regional Coach of the Year honors, along with being named the Florida Diamond Club Coach of the Year for all Divisions of College Baseball in the State of Florida. Warner University has been ranked in the NAIA National Polls in all or part of 14 seasons including a stretch of 10 years from 2000-2009 where in all but 5 weeks of the Decade ranked among the Top 25 teams in the Nation.
 
His Warner teams have qualified for 5 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series, including 1987, 1992, 2016, and Runner Up Finishes in both 2018, and 2019. 14 of his former players have gone on to play Professional Baseball with MLB organizations, and 53 players have advanced to be High School, College, or Professional Coaches.
 
Coach Sikes began his Career in 1984 after graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Business Administration. His early teams played in the Florida Christian College Conference winning 5 Championships in 6 years of participation. From 1989-1992 the Royals participated in the National Christian College Athletic Association and in 1992 qualified for the NCCAA World Series. Sikes was the National Chair for the NCCAA from 1990-92. From 1992 through 2005 he served as Conference Chair for the NAIA’s Florida Sun Conference. Warner University Athletic teams have always sought to honor Jesus Christ with their play, and in 2010, Coach Sikes’ teams was presented with the Team Award by the Florida Collegiate Umpires Association by virtue of demonstrating the Best Sportsmanship of all Teams playing College Baseball in the State of Florida for that Season.
 
Coach Sikes and his wife of 33 years, Margie live in Babson Park. They attend First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, where they serve as leaders of a Married Couples Bible Study Class. The Sikes’ have 3 grown children in Samuel, Hannah, and Rebekah. “The Lord has blessed me to be able to do what I love at a place that I love.
