LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Lady Royals volleyball team stepped out of Sun Conference play and welcomed NCAA-II Florida Tech to the Turner Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Royals fell to the visitors 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-20) and dropped their overall record to 6-9.

The Lady Royals earned the first point of the opening set after a service error by the Lady Panthers but after being ahead 4-3, they failed to be in control at any other point in the set. Florida Tech led by as many as five points with Samantha Reeves and Marilyn Dick both recording four kills. Marisa Moralobo and Adrienne Czaplewski finished with a team-high four kills in the first set for Warner.

In the third set, teams traded the lead four times. Florida Tech led by as many as four and held the Lady Royals at bay to complete the sweep. Moralobo and Czaplewski both finished with a team-high nine kills through the three sets. Tiffani Pate recorded seven kills as well and Heather Lockwood had 21 digs.

Next up for the Lady Royal is their annual Dig Pink match on Friday, Oct. 17.
