Delegal Leads Royals Past Falcons 69-46

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Warner University men's basketball team ran their winning streak to five games on Monday night with a 69-46 victory over Florida College.  The Royals sweep the season series with the Falcons and are now 5-0 to start the 2014-15 season.

The first 10 minutes of the game were a back and forth affair as the two sides slugged it out for five ties exchanging the lead eight times.  Back-to-back steals by Warren Hall sparked the Royals' offense with 10 minutes remaining and they went on to outscore the Falcons 18-2.

The Royals forced four Falcons turnovers during the run and took a 35-19 lead into halftime thanks to a three-pointer at the buzzer by Keevis Tukes.

Hall led all players with 13 points in the first 20 minutes of action.  Eddie Delegal was the Royals leading rebounder with eight in the first half to go along with eight points.  As a team the Royals held a 25-19 advantage on the boards in the first half.

The Royals were cold to start the second half missing on their first four shots.  The Falcons countered with a 6-0 run forcing a Warner timeout at the 16:55 mark.  Coming out the timeout the Royals answered with a 7-0 run and never looked back.

The Royals held the Falcons to 32% shooting from the field in the second half and outrebounded them 24-18.  With 1:30 left on the clock the Royals held their largest lead of the game, 23 points, and held it the rest of the way for a 69-46 win.

Eddie Delegal led the Royals all game and finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds, his second straight double-double.  Warren Hall had 19 points and seven rebounds to go along with four steals and two assists.  Keevis Tukes was 4-of-7 from the field and scored 10 points in the victory as well.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Royals travel to Lakeland, Fla. to face NCAA-II Florida Southern College.  The exhibition contest will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. in the Jenkins Field House.
