HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – In their first conference road game of the 2015 season, Warner University men's soccer team lost to SCAD Savannah 3-1 on Thursday night.  The loss keeps the Royals winless thus far in 2015 and drops their record to 0-6-1 overall and 0-3 to begin league play.  The Bees are now 5-5-1 overall and 1-2 in league play.

The Royals and Bees played a scoreless first 45 minutes of the game and were knotted at 0-0 at halftime.  The Bees pressured the Royals backline for eight shots in the first half while the Royals countered with two shots.

In the second half, the Bees opened the scoring in the 60^th minute and Warner's Jonathan Freiria tied things up eight minutes later with a shot into the top right corner.

The Bees scored the go-ahead goal in the 73^rd minute and added an extra goal six minutes later to make it a 3-1 final.

The Royals added nine shots to their tally in the second half by found the back of the net just once.  Freiria led the Royals with three shots on goal.

On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Royals head to Thomasville, Ga. for a showdown with No. 8 Thomas University.  The game has been selected as the NAIA Network Men's Soccer Game of the Week, presented by Stretch Internet.  Kick off from the TU Soccer Complex is set for 4:30 p.m.
