KISSIMMEE, Fla. – On day two of the 2015 NCCAA Division I Women's Volleyball National Championship, Warner University defeated Lincoln Christian University (Ill.) to wrap up pool play and the 2015 season. The fifth-seeded Lady Royals swept the eighth-seeded Red Lions 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-19) to improve 1-2 in pool play and 20-8 overall.
The Lady Royals got off to a great start in the first set with a 25-20 victory.
Ivelisse Saint-Clair,
Adrienne Czaplewski and
Breeanna Navarro all had three kills in the set as the Lady Royals hit .205 as a team.
In the second set the Lady Royals racked up 13 kills as a team six of which came from the right arm of Czaplewski.
Thalia Mendez and Czaplewski also reached 10 digs in the second set as well. The Lady Royals moved to 2-0 in the match winning handily 25-18.
In the third set, the Lady Royals' offense dominated hitting .300 as a team with 16 kills.
Angie Pagan-Perez led the way with eight kills of her own in the set. Czaplewski added five kills to her tally to finish with a game-high 14.
Jenna Swaffer finished the year with 30 assists and eight digs. Mendez led the backrow with 16 digs and also had one service ace.
