DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – In Saturday's Sun Conference baseball series finale, No. 19 Embry-Riddle University swept both games of a doubleheader over Warner University. The Eagles won game one 16-6 and game two 14-4.
The sweep drops the Royals overall record to 12-28-1 and their conference record to 4-15. The Eagles are now 27-13 overall and 14-6 in league play.
In game one, the Royals scored three runs in the third and the fourth innings. George Kirland drove home the first run for the Royals with a single through the right side.
Chase Coon brought home two more runs with a single of his own in the third inning.

The Eagles, however, countered with 16 runs on 18 hits ending the game via run-rule in the seventh inning.
In game two, the Royals faced a similar result as the Eagles scored 14 runs on 14 hits ending the game via run-rule again in the seventh inning.
The Royals scored all of their runs in the third inning.
Dylan Gross drew a bases loaded walk to bring in the Royals' first run and later scored on an Eagles miscue. Coon doubled home a pair of Warner runs with a shot down the left field line.
The Royals return home on Tuesday, April 7, to welcome Florida Southern College for a 4 p.m. start. Next weekend, the Royals travel across Crooked Lake for their next Sun Conference series against Webber International University. Friday's series opener will start at 6:30 p.m.
