LAKE WALES, Fla. - In convincing fashion, Warner University picked up their fifth win of the season on day two of the Lady Royals Labor Day Classic on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Royals swept past the Conquistadors of Florida National University 3-0 (25-7, 25-15, 25-5) to improve to 5-4 on the season.
Adrienne Czaplewski got the Lady Royals going in the first set with five kills in a 25-7 win. As a team the Lady Royals hit .391 and had 11 kills.
Following a 25-15 second set victory, the Lady Royals made quick work of the Conquistadors in the third set 25-5.
Jenna Swaffer led all players with 22 assists; she also had three service aces.
Czaplewski finished with 10 kills and a .769 hitting percentage.
Thalia Mendez racked up 15 digs on the back row as well.
Following the conclusion of the ninth game of the tournament, the All-Tournament team was announced. Swaffer was the Lady Royals' representative after totaling 93 assists in three tournament matches along with four service aces and 19 digs.
