Box Score MIAMI, Fla.- The Royals men's soccer team went down to Miami looking to break their skid against the Florida Memorial Lions on Saturday afternoon. The Lions jumped on the board first with a goal in the 6th minute to go up 1-0 early on in the match. In the 22nd minute, the Lions struck again with another goal to put them up 2-0. It looked as though the score would stay that way going into halftime, but
Brian Martin put a ball away in the 42nd minute to cut the Lions lead in half going into halftime. The second half would play on that way until the Lions added some insurance in the 60th minute with their third goal of the game. The Royals looked to respond but it was to no avail as the final horn sounded with the Lions coming away with the 3-1 victory. The Royals fell to 0-13 (0-6) overall on the season. Martin had the lone goal while
Tevonne Morris and
Bernardo Bergamin were credited with the assist to Martin. The Royals will next match up with Southeastern University at home on Wednesday October 19 at 7 pm.
