Box Score KINGSPORT, Tenn.- The Warner men's basketball team traveled up to Kingsport, Tennessee this weekend to participate in the NAIA Showcase. Their first opponent was Milligan College Buffaloes. The Royals took an early lead on Milligan and held a comfortable lead through most of the first half. However, the Royals would use a huge 25-5 run to finish off the final 8:42 of the half to take a 59-32 lead into halftime. The Royals would not take their foot off the gas pedal in the second half as they continued to score and hold off any chance the Buffaloes had at making a comeback in the game. The Royals would extend their lead to 31 points at the 15:08 mark of the second half, but the Buffaloes would benefit from some good shooting to cut the lead down a bit to 20 points at the 5:06 point of the half. The Royals would not allow Milligan to make a comeback and give them any hope as they would ultimately win big by the score of 103-88. The 103 points is a season high for the Royals, eclipsing the 102 they scored in their opening game of the season at Trinity College. The win improved the Royals record to 6-1 (1-1) on the season.
 Â
Warren Hall led the Royals with 46 points and 9 rebounds.
Josh Ellis would add 20 points and 8 rebounds while
Isaac Sutton would put in 11 points of his own. The Royals will be back in action again tomorrow in the NAIA Showcase as they take on #13 Robert Morris at 1 pm.
