Box Score TRINITY, Fla.- The #19 ranked men's basketball team traveled to Trinity College on October 27 to take on the defending NCCAA NIT Champs. With the loss of three key seniors from the previous year, the team was anxious to get on the court to see what they could do. There was one player from the previous team, however, that returned and he did not disappoint in the first game of his senior season.
Warren Hall, reigning Sun Conference player of the year, returned to his hometown and scored 45 points to open the season. In the first half, Hall went 9-14 from the field and 3-5 from three point land. He also finished 5-6 from the charity stripe to lead all scorers with 26 at halftime. The Royals used a 19-5 run to end the first half to go into halftime with a 57-31 lead. In the second half, Hall once again led all Royals scorers with 19 points and the Royals were able to puy away Trinty by a final score of 102-80. Along with Hall's 45 points,
Josh Ellis and Issac Sutton but put in 12 points for the Royals. Warner starts the season 1-0 and will next travel to Jacksonville to take on Edward Waters College on Friday November 4 at 7 pm.
