Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- In the final seconds of the game, the Royals held a one point lead on the St. Thomas Bobcats. As the Bobcats Michael Walker drove to the basket looking to win the game on his final shot,
Antonio Ansley had other plans as he rejected Walkers shot away from the basket giving the Royals the big defensive stop they needed to come away with a 70-69 victory.
The Bobcats held a 38-33 lead going into halftime behind some hot shooting by Armand Shoon. The Royals refused to go away to stay within striking distance of the Bobcats.
Warren Hall had 10 points at the half to lead the Royals.
The Royals came out of the locker room with a new insensity and started the second half on a 11-2 run to go up 44-40. The Bobcats and Royals would remain in a battle for the entire second half with neither team able to pull away. The Royals did a great job hitting their free throws late in the game and finished the second half going 14-14 from the line.
Eddie Delegal ended the Royals scoring knocking down his final two free throws to give the Royals the 70-69 lead and set the stage for Ansley to come up with his big block.
Hall finished with 28 points and 8 rebounds as Delegal came away with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Ansley had 11 points to go with his big block, going 3-5 from three point land.
The Royals will travel to Miami on Saturday to take on Johnson and Wales at 4 p.m.
