LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals Men's Basketball team has been coming through in a big way as of late. A week ago they were faced with the task of beating St. Thomas with a chance to clinch third place in the regular season, Johnson and Wales with the chance to clinch second place, and Keiser with the chance to clinch first. After the exciting win over St. Thomas, the Royals traveled down to Johnson and Wales. The Royals were able to handle Johnson and Wales pretty handily as they only trailed a couple times the entire game with the last time being 17-15 with 10:29 remaining in the first half.
The Royals were led by strong performances by
Warren Hall and
Eddie Delegal who had 29 and 22 points respectively.
Antonio Ansley had a big day as well dropping in 14 of his own points in the contest. The Royals will next travel to West Palm Beach on Wednesday February 17 to take on Keiser for first place in the regular season and conference tournament host. Both teams have already clinched a first round bye, but to host and play on home court is something the Royals are salivating over as they are 10-3 at home this season.
The Royals lost to Keiser January 16 in Lake Wales, but the task of beating Keiser away from home is something they are not afraid of. They have already won two consecutive place cliching games against tough opponents and are looking to continue that trend this Wednesday.
For those fans not able to travel, the game will be streamed live here:
