Box Score 2 WEST POINT, Ga.- The women's soccer team travelled up to Point University this past weekend to take on Trinity Christian on Friday night and Point on Saturday night. It was a bit of a rough trip for the Royals as they held Trinity Christian scoreless in the first half but then the defense broke down a bit and Trinity Christian was able to score six goals to win the contest 6-0. The Royals managed four shots, three on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Sarah Bergkvist came away with 16 saves in the contest for the Royals.
On Saturday, the Royals didn't fair much better as their offensive woes continued. They did get five shots off but only two on goal and neither travelled past the keeper. The Royals ultimately fell to Point 3-0 to fall to 0-2 on the young season. Bergkvist came away with 9 saves against Point.
The Royals will travel to Ave Maria for their next contest on September 1 to take on the Gyrenes in a non-conference match-up beginning at 3 p.m.
