Men's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Match To Webber

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.- The Warner men's soccer team traveled across the lake Saturday to take on Webber International in a non-conference match up. Webber was able to score their first goal early in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Webber would hold on to that lead through halftime and midway into the second half. Then, in the 64th minute, Daniel Rodriguez found the back of the net to tie the score at 1-1. The tie match would only last ten minutes as Webber was awarded a penalty kick in the 74th minute and would put it past the keeper for a 2-1 lead. In the 76th minute, the Royals were awarded a penalty kick of their own but were unable to capatalize and the kick was saved by the Webber keeper. That turned out to be the Royals last real threat to tie the match as they fell 2-1 to Webber.

Warner was led offensively by Rodriguez as he had the lone goal and defensively by Miguel Ardila who had six saves.

Warner is back in action at home on Tuesday September 13 at 7 p.m. against the University of Tampa.
