Women's Soccer Drops Match To #2 Keiser

Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The women's soccer team traveled to West Palm Beach to take on conference opponent Keiser Seahawks. The Seahawks are currently ranked #2 in the country in the latest NAIA poll so the Royals knew it was going to be a tough test for them going into the match. The majority of the scoring came early in the first half as the Seahawks managed goals in the 0 minute, 1st minute, 11th, 22nd, and 26th minutes of the contest to take a 5-0 lead on the Royals. 

In the 26 th minute of the match, Elizabeth Lewis was able to put a ball past the keeper for a goal to cut the Keiser lead to 5-1. That score would hold up through halftime as both sides were unable to score the rest of the half. In the second half, the Seahawks would add some insurance as they would score goals in the 53rd and 57th minutes to take a 7-1 lead and end the scoring for the match to win. Keiser would improve to 8-0 (1-0) on the season and the Royals fall to 0-4 (0-1) on the season.

The women's soccer team will travel to Miami to take on another Sun Conference opponent in Johnson and Wales. Game time is set for 1:30 pm.
