LAKE WALES, Fla. - With the final game of the season, Warner University Football faced off against the rivals across the lake, Webber international University, to compete in the Annual Lake Caloosa Clash.
It seems that, no matter how either teams season goes, the two schools always battle it out against one another until the final moments of the game. However, for those at the game, it seemed as if the Royals would make a clean sweep the Warriors with no contest what so ever. Aside from the first quarter where both teams showed impressive defensive efforts, keeping the score 0-0... The second quarter seemed to be in the Royals favor, as the only scoring the Warriors were able to do in the second quarter was securing a 28 yard field goal. This was in comparison to the Royals 2 unanswered touchdowns one of which was a pass from D.J. Davis complete to Jeff Suarez for 24 yards and the other being a pass from D.J. Davis complete to Justin Jackson for 15 yards.
However, this was short lived, as the Warriors made halftime adjustments to stop the furthering of the score from the Royals, and ultimately were able to score 15 points late in the fourth quarter to secure the victory and best the Royals 18-14. Warner finished its season at 4-6 overall and 2-3 in MSC.
