LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner University faced off against Keiser University in one of the most important and competitive matches of the year to date.
 
GAME RECAP
 
In the first set of the match, the lady Royals wasted no time against Keiser University and got out to a quick 5-1 lead. However, the Seahawks were not a team to go quietly as they quickly tied the match at 7-7. This was the foreshadow for the remainder of the match as the two teams went at one another with everything they had to offer. Ultimately the first set was won by Keiser 25-21, however the match was long from over.
 
If the first set was anything to learn from the teams, it's that neither of the two would allow the other to take the advantage and hold it for more than 3 points.  As the final kill, delivered by Keana Smalls, brought the second set to a close, the Royals found themselves with the lead over Keiser 25-22. While bringing the match to a set for each team.
 
As the third set began, the general theme for the match continued, neither team would allow the other to pull ahead. That was until the Royals managed to take the score from a Warner-7 Keiser-6 to a Warner- 25 and a Keiser- 12. Tilting the match to the favor of the Royals, and bringing it into the 4^th set of the match.
 
It would have seemed that the Royals were going to put the Seahawks away, as they pulled out to a six point lead at the start of the set. However, the Seahawks managed to pull themselves together, correcting the errors from the previous set and were able to find a way to compete against the lady Royals. This then turned the fourth set into a shootout, but it was Keiser who found the win for the fourth set.
 
The final set was not the back and forth match that we witnessed from the previous sets of the night, as the Royals took the win over the Seahawks and secured the final conference victory.
