LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner fought off the Reinhardt Eagles who are receiving votes nationally for the Top 25. The Royals went 5-1 in the month of December finishing out the year with 4 straight wins.
GAME RECAP
In the first half the Royals spread out the ball as 8 Royals registered points.
Alana St. Clair led the way with 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Daijah Turner followed closely with 6 points, 3 rebounds and a steal. The Royals got our to a hot start leading 19-11 after just 1 quarter of play. The 2
nd quarter evened out at 8 a piece giving the Royals a strong first half and a 27-19 lead.
The second half started off scary for the Royals as the Eagles fired up their offense and tore down the lead with a 14-8 run in the 3
rd quarter. With
I'munique Green and
Daijah Turner both throwing up 7 point a piece in the second half, the Royals again notched 19 points in the 4
th quarter and held off the Eagles 54-46.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Warner finished out 2017 going 5-1 in the month of December. 2018 will bring in a new year and 6 straight Sun Conference games with the first being at home against Florida Memorial January 4
th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
