GAME RECAP
The lady Royals struggled in the 1
st half only reaching 16 points finding themselves trailing 35-16. The first half woes came mostly from the inaccuracy shooting in the field. They shot 17.2% making just 5 of 29 from the field. 21.4% hitting just 3 of 14 from beyond the arch. The free-throw line was also a struggle as they only hit 3 of 8.
Sara Poehlman led the way in the first half knocking down 2-2 from 3-point range.
The second half was much better from the field as the Royals hit 10 of 27. They still struggled at 3-point range which was an uncharacteristic 2 for 11. They committed 11 fouls and only received 4 in their favor as they made 2 of 4 from the free-throw line.
Daijah Turner and
I'munique Green both put up 10 points apiece but it was not enough to stop the Lions as they dropped the TSC matchup 57-40.
The Royals move to 8-8 overall on the season and 1-5 in the Sun Conference and look to take on St. Thomas in another TSC game this Saturday in Miami Gardens.
