Royals Upset By NightHawks In Sun Conference 70-66

THOMASVILLE, Georgia – Khalil Ozuna had another 20 pt night and Melton Sanders was good all around with 15 pts, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

GAME RECAP

The first 10 minutes was a thrash back and forth between both teams as neither would establish dominance. With the score knotted up 16-16 and 9:55 to play in the 1st, the NightHawks saw their chance and took it. They used several runs to take the lead giving the Royals a 37-27 hole to dig out from at halftime.

The Royals came out amped up following the half, they went on a tear with a Khalil Ozuna jumper cutting the lead to just 56-55 in favor of the NightHawks. With 3:15 remaining, Denzell Osson made both his free-throws to keep the game within 1 as the NightHawks still had the lead 62-61. Several attempts by the Royals would fail as the NightHawks held on to upset the Royals 70-66.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Royals fall to an 8-4 overall record and 3-2 in the Sun Conference. Warner looks to rebound as they hit the road December 15th traveling to Lakeland's Southeastern University to take on Goshen College (Ind.) in a non-conference matchup.
