Box Score MIAMI, Fla.- The Royals traveled to Miami to take on the Florida Memorial Lions in a big Sun Conference matchup that had regular season champion implications. It was the Lions homecoming weekend, so the Royals played in front of a large crowd on Saturday evening. Coming off a big win over rival Webber, the Royals looked to continue their sharp play. However, it was the Lions that would shoot lights out on the night. The game was very close throughout the majority of the first half, with the largest lead from any team was 4 points before the four minute mark. The final four minutes of the half, the Lions went on a 11-7 run on the Royals and would go into halftime up 45-37. The Royals would come back early in the second half, cutting the lead down to two points at 15:41 of the second half. The Lions would catch fire again and over the next four minutes, build up their lead to 17 points, 69-52. The Royals attempted to come back, but the Lions shooting was just too hot on the night. Warner would fall to Florida Memorial 93-78. The loss dropped them to 22-4 (10-4) on the season. The Royals were led by

Josh Ellis with 24 points. Warner will have a quick turnaround this week as they will travel back to Miami on Tuesday to take on the St. Thomas University Bobcats. Game time is set for 7 pm.
