Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- There were a pair of single game records and one career record that fell tonight at the Turner Athletic Center as the men's basketball team defeated Trinity College Tigers 103-74.
AJ Lamb finished the game with a triple double, the second of the season for a Warner Royal, that included a single game record 11 blocks. Along with Lamb's single game record,
Nick Macon finished the game with 18 assists, which is also a Royals single game record. The big record setting game came from
Warren Hall, who became The Sun Conference's all time scoring leader with 2,418 points. Hall would finish the night with 35 total points to add to his record breaking career numbers.
The Royals pulled away from the Tigers late in the first half and never trailed in the game. The Royals shot an impressive 65% from the field in the first half and held the Tigers to only 19 points with only 3 minutes remaining in the half. The Royals led by as many as 29 points but finished the half with a 25 point, 55-30, lead at halftime. The second half was not much kinder to the Tigers, as the Royals would come out and build up a game high 37 point lea at the 7:12 mark of the second half. The Royals would then hit the cruise control button and finish off the Tigers by a score of 103-74. Warner was led in the game by
Warren Hall with 35 points.
Adam Giger finished with 13 points,
AJ Lamb finished with a triple double 11 points, 1o rebounds, and 11 blocks, and
Nick Macon finished the game with 10 points and 18 assists. The Royals improve to 21-3 (9-3) on the season. The Royals next game will be February 9 at 7 pm at Webber International University.
