Royals Demolish Warriors

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.- The Royals got some hot shooting tonight from the men's basketball team as they routed rival Webber International Warriors 91-67 at Webber. The Royals opened up the game on a 16-3 run and were in immediate control of the contest. The Royals did not ease up on the gas pedal at all in the first half as they led by as much as 32 points in the first half. Webber finally got into double digits on the scoreboard at the 11 minute mark of the first half, and at that point, Warner was up 35-11. It just got worse for the Warriors from there. Warner would continue to hit shot after shot, and by the 4:27 point of the first half, they were up 51-19. The Royals would go into halftime with a 56-28 lead over Webber. The break cooled the Royals off a bit as they were only able to score 35 points in the second half, however, the huge first half was just too much for Webber to handle and they could not mount a comeback. Within the first five minutes of the second half, the Warriors were able to cut the lead back into the teens, but the Royals would pick it back up and end up jumping up on Webber with their largest lead of the game of 33 points at the 4:58 mark of the second half, 86-53. The Royals would turn on cruise control and coast into the final buzzer with a 91-67 victory. With the win, the Royals improve to 22-3 (10-3) on the season. Warren Hall led the way for the Royals with 28 points while Adam Giger dropped in 18 points and Josh Ellis with 16 points. The Royals will be on the road Saturday February 11 at Florida Memorial in a big Sun Conference game that begins at 6 pm.
