Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 BEAUFORT, South Carolina- The Warner Royals softball team clinched The Sun Conference regular season title with a pair of wins on Saturday over the South Carolina- Beaufort SandSharks. On Friday, USCB was able to take the first game of the series from the Royals behind a strong pitching performance, 2-1. The Royals needed two wins to clinch the regular season title on Saturday and did not disappoint. In game one on Saturday, the Royals got an outstanding pitching performance from Chelsie Valentine to propel them to a 5-1 win. Warner got single runs in the first and second innings on RBI singles by Sara Bruno and Caylin Delones respectively. Tori Johnson would add on to the Royals lead with a RBI single in the fifth inning to make the score 3-0. The SandSharks would get an unearned run in the sixth, but the Royals would tack on two more runs in the seventh on a Paige Davis single to make the score 5-1. Valentine would shut the door on the SandSharks in the seventh to seal the victory. 
    In the final game of the series, the Royals would need a win to clinch the regular season title. The offense, along with a great pitching performance from Paige Davis, would come through for Warner and they would win the game 9-1. USCB got their lone run in the second on a solo homerun, but that was when the flood gates opened offensively for the Royals. Chantal Crockett opened the scoring in the third with a 2 RBI single that was followed up with a sacrifice fly by Jessica Adams and RBI groundout by Sara Bruno to make the score 4-1 in favor of the Royals. In the fifth, Sara Bruno would get a RBI double and Tori Johnson would add a RBI groundout to extend the lead to 6-1. Chantal Crockett would get a RBI double in the sixth to make it 7-1 then Savanna Rumore would get a RBI groundout in the seventh that was followed up by a RBI double by Madison Taylor to end the scoring for the Royals with a 9-1 advantage. Davis closed the game out in the seventh to give the Royals the regular season conference title.
