Royals Take Game One From Seahawks

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals softball team took game one of the series from the Keiser Seahawks Friday at Daly Field 5-3. The Royals got things going early as Tori Johnson hit a 2 RBI triple in the bottom of the first. Keiser would get two runs in the top of the third, but the Royals would re-take the lead in the bottom of the third on a Jessica Adams RBI single. Keiser would tie the game at 3 with a run in the fourth. The score would stay stay that way until the sixth when the Royals would get a RBI double by Kori Petersen then a RBI single from Torey Scott to go up 5-3. Chelsea Valentine would then shut the door on the Seahawks in the seventh to help the Royals come away with the victory. Valentine would strike out 7 in the complete game win while Tori Johnson finsihed 2-3 with 2 RBI's. The Royals and Seahawks will face off in a double header on Saturday beginning at 11 am.
