LAKE WALES, Fla. – Women's Soccer suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Thomas University NightHawks today 2-1, this is the Lady Royals first loss since August 23
rd. Leading up to today's game the team won an incredible 9 games in a row and played 11 games without a loss.

Despite the loss today the Lady Royals are still in the top 3 in the Sun Conference.

Today's match started slow for both sides. Neither team was able to get a shot off until ten minutes into the match. The NightHawks struck first in the 21
st minute and took a 1-0 lead.

However, three minutes later #10
Samanntha Warren for the Royals dribbled the ball into NightHawk territory and dished a nice pass inside to Royals Captain, #2
Kristen Isabelle; Isabelle was able to find the back of the net for the Royals and cash in her 1
st goal of the year.

The half would come to end with the teams tied 1-1.

Throughout the game both coaches and teams felt that there were some questionable fouls called and some fouls that were not called but should have been.

The NightHawks came out firing in the 2
nd half and were able to find the back of the net a 2
nd time in the 50
th minute to take a 2-1 lead.

The Lady Royals applied good offensive pressure throughout the 2
nd half but were never able to get one past the NightHawks goalie.

Unfortunately for the Royals they were not able to produce another goal and suffered their 3
rd loss of the season.

The Lady Royals are now 10-3-1 on the year and have already set the record for most wins a season in the modern era for women's soccer; the team is also now 6-1 in conference play this year.

During their win streak, over the last 6 weeks, this Lady Royals soccer team has accomplished a great deal; they have set the record for longest win streak in Warner Soccer History (9), Men's or Women's soccer, the have won 6 road games and are 6-0 on the road this year, the team also has one of Warner's best goal scorers,
Samanntha Warren, who has scored 9 goals this season and is tied 4
th all time for goals in a season in the modern era (DakStats era).
