LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Lady Royals hosted the Ave Maria University Gyrenes tonight in what was the team's 5
th conference game. Thanks to a high powered offensive attack, that produced 33 total shots in the game, the Royals got the win 2-0.
This is the teams 8
th straight victory and the Royals are now 5-0 in conference play.
In the he first half the Lady Royals did an excellent job of controlling the ball and keeping it on the Gyrenes side of the pitch. The Royals had good ball movement the entire half as they were able to convert on over 50% of their passes.

The Lady Royals fired an unbelievable 24 shots in the first half with 11 on goal. The half would come to end with the Royals ahead 2-0.
Ave Maria stepped up the defense in the second half, only allowing the Royals to get off 9 shots.
Neither side could produce much offense in the 2
nd half, as the half became more of a defensive battle.
The Royals defense was able to hold the Gyrenes off all night as they got the shut out win at home.
The Lady Royals are now 9-2-1 on the season and #1 in the Sun Conference.
