LAKE WALES - FLA. This evening, the Warner University Men's Basketball Team hosted their first conference matchup of the season against Ave Maria University. 

In what was a back and forth game, The Royals came out victorious with an 86-80 point win. This improves Warner's record to 5-1 overall, and 1-0 in the conference standings. 

Again, four Royals were able to score double digit points, and this effort was again led by Khalil Ozuna. In his 34 minutes of game time, Ozuna was able to net 25 points, and grab the ball for rebounds 16 times. 

Trae Graham and Jaylan Shelton contributed 14 and 13 points respectively, while the other Royal who had double digit points was Jarred Anderson with 10, as well as 8 assists. 

Collectively, the Royals were able to shoot 48.6% from the field, making 34 of 70 of their shots, as well as 72.7% from behind the free throw line. 

Next up, Warner will face Southeastern University in their next conference date of the year in an away game in Lakeland on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM
