LAKE WALES – FLA. After the Warner University Royals won NCCAA South Regional for the first time in program history and advanced to the NCCAA National Championship for the first time, they took on #3 Campbellsville University in the first-round last night.
This is the first time the Warner Men's Soccer Team has advanced to the NCCAA National Championships.
Unfortunately, the Royals took a loss in a thrilling double overtime game by a score of 2-1. The lone goal of the night came off the foot of Matheus Santiago with the assist from James Feehan. This was his 12th goal of the season.
The Royals fired a total of 13 shots, with 8 of them being on goal. Campbellsville registered 20 shots, with 7 of them on goal. Warner also recorded 5 saves.
Warner now has an overall record of 12-6-1.
Tonight at 7:30 PM, Warner will take on #4 Bethel College in another pool play game.
