Mt. Vernon, GA. – The Lady Royals basketball team continued playing in Georgia today as they took on the Middle Georgia State Knights and came away victorious 66-58. With the win the Royals are now 3-1 on the season.
 
The Lady Royals were led by #42 Alana St. Clair who posted 24 points in the game, going 7-13 from the field and 8-10 from the free throw line. Alana St. Clair led all scorers with her 24 points.
 
The Lady Royals led the entire game and did an outstanding job of containing the Knights and keeping them from grabbing the momentum and taking the lead late in the 2^nd half.
 
The difference in the game came down to free throws:

• Warner shot 80% from the free throw line, going 21-26
• Middle Georgia shot 55% from the free throw line, going 11-20

 
The Lady Royals are off to a hot start in this 2018-2019 season, shooting just under 40% from the field and just over 80% from the free throw line so far this year.
 
The team will have 5 days before they take the court again against Trinity Baptist College on November 8, at 7 PM in Lake Wales.
