MIAMI GARDENS – FLA. The Warner University Royals traveled back to Miami Gardens today to get a rematch with St. Thomas, and what a rematch it was!
The Lady Royals were able to come back after dropping the first set 25-12. The second and third sets were taken by Warner by identical scores of 25-18. Then it was the Bobcats who fought back and won the next set to make it even by 25-22. Down to crunch time, Warner was able to pull out the last set, and a TSC Quarterfinal win 15-8.
Breeanna Navarro led the offense tonight with a season high 22 kills in 56 attempts.
Sydney Ackermann posed a large threat as well as she contributed a total of 14 kills.
The Royals defense was led tonight by none other than
Andrea Lorenz with her own season high record of digs with 41. Andrea reached a huge career milestone as she has reached 1,000 digs in two seasons worth of games.
Yet another player posted her own season high tonight, as
Raygen Lee contributed 35 total assists. Raygen also reached a career milestone as she has totaled 1,500 assists in 3 seasons of work.
The Lady Royals posted 60 kills, 105 digs, and 4 aces.
With this thrilling win, Warner will now move onto the next round in The Sun Conference Tournament on Friday night. This game will take place at 7:30 PM. at Webber International University, against the number one seed, Webber.
