BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warner University Royals finished up the 2018 season with a bitter loss to their rivals the Webber International University Warriors.
The Royals entered tonights game as the TSC #5 seed facing the #1 seeded Webber International Warriors.
It was a hard fought battle in the Semifinal matchup of The Sun Conference Tournament. Though the Royals held a lead late into each of the three sets, the Warriors proved relentless and came away with the 0-3 sweep.
Becca Bowlin led the way offensively for Warner with 11 kills followed by
Breeanna Navarro with 8 and
Alexandra Gonzalez with 6.
Defensively the Royals proved strong as
Vanessa Boitnott challenged the net with 6 blocks,
Breeanna Navarro with 3 and
Marissa Intoppa with 3.
Raygen Lee added 24 assists,
Madison Hughes followed with 11 assists.
Andrea Lorenz finished out her strong season with 18 digs,
Breeanna Navarro had a very close 17 digs while
Raygen Lee put up 11 digs.
Raygen Lee finished the night with the only double-double for the Royals with 24 assists and 12 digs.
Unfortunately for the Royals their season ends at the Semifinals of The Sun Conference dropping the match 22-25, 22-25 and 21-25.
