LAKE WALES – FLA. This afternoon the Warner University Women's Basketball Team competed in a home matchup against Fisher College. Going into this game, the Royals held an overall record of 5-9. Fisher College held a record of 9-3 on their season.
The Falcons led the Royals for almost the entirety of the first half of the game, but found difficulty in the second half as Warner tied up the game in the third quarter.
The Royals and the Falcons went back and forth in the fourth quarter exchanging leads and then tying the game up again but ultimately, Fisher College came out on top, edging out Warner by a score of 49-45.
In her 40 minutes of game time,
Daijah Turner was able to put up 15 points, and steal the ball 6 times. Defensively,
Alana St. Clair led the Royals as well as had the game high 13 rebounds – she also contributed 9 points.
The Royals struggled finding the basket from the field, but did well from the free throw line as they made 56.5% of those shots.
The next time Warner will play will be in the New Year, on January 2
nd in a home game against Bob Jones University at 2:00 PM.
