LAKE WALES - FLA. This afternoon the Warner University Women's Basketball Team faced off with Bob Jones University which resulted in an exciting 84-44 win. With this win, Warner is now 6-10 on the season.Â
The Royals drew the first blood of the game and never looked back by not relinquishing their lead. Warner outscored Bob Jones in every quarter: 22-7, 25-18, 17-6, and 20-13.Â
4 Royals stood out offensively, while one posted a double double, and another was just 2 points away from her own double double. Valeria Merlos scored 16 points, Alana St. Clair and Cheyenne Daphney each put up 15 points, while St. Clair also had 12 rebounds. Daijah Turner scored 13 points of her own. D'Asia James grabbed the ball 10 times for rebounds, and narrowly missed her double double by scoring 8 points.
The Royals were effective on defense, limiting the Bruins to just 44 points, and scoring 22 points off of turnovers.Â
Tomorrow, Warner will be on the road to Florida Memorial University to play a conference matchup at 6:00 PM.
