BRUNSWICK, GA. – Unbelievable second half run leads to Royals 6 point victory. The Royals trailed by 20 points at half, 23-43, and battled back to beat the Mariners 77-71.
The Royals of Warner University and the Mariners of Coastal Georgia squared off in was named The Sun Conference Game of the Week.
Coastal Georgia recently was named receiving votes for the NAIA DII Top-25. Warner started out the year at NAIA DII #19 and after suffering losses to #11 SEU, #9 Union and #2 Indiana East, they also fell to receiving votes for the Top-25.
The Royals snapped the Mariner win streak in The Sun Conference which stood at 4-0. The Royals also started a win streak of their own as they now have won back to back TSC games improving to 3-1.
An extremely rough start to the game found the Royals trailing by 20 points at halftime to the Mariners, 23-43.
"After getting down by 25 points it takes a special team to be able to put together a comeback. The two most important aspects to shorten the points gap are emotional energy and basketball IQ. We showed we are capable of doing both at a very high-level." Royals head coach

The Warner comeback was a night to remember as they put up 54 in the second half and held the Mariners to just 28.
Three Royals had awesome nights on the court.
Trae Graham led the way offensively with a 22 point performance finishing the night 1 rebound shy of a double-double.
Darryl Mercer had his best game of the season so far, just a Freshman, Mercer had 19 points, 2 assists, 1 steal all by shooting 3-5 from beyond the arch finishing 6-12 from the field and 4-4 at the free-throw line.
Khalil Ozuna notched his 6
thdouble-double of the season as he added an 18 point night with 11 rebounds and a steal.
The Royals roll through the Mariners and shift their focus to tomorrow night's EXHIBITION matchup against Rollins College at 7:00 p.m.
