BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Royals troubles continue as they fell to the powerful offense of Coastal Georgia tonight 66-90. Warner declines to 5-7 overall and 0-4 in The Sun Conference.
The Royals dropped their fifth straight game tonight against The College of Coastal Georgia.
Daijah Turner led the way 15 points and a season high 7 rebounds, adding 3 assists and a steal.
Valeria Merlos was a close second with 13 points and had a thrifty hand with 4 steals on the night.
Alana St. Clair notched her third straight game with double digit points as she had 12 points with 4 rebounds and a steal.
The Royals only shot 29% from the field in the first half and put 25 points on the board. They improved off of that number and rebounded with 38% from the field in the second half nailing 50% of their shots from the three-point line. There was a struggle from the free-point line for the Royals as they shot a staggering 69% hitting 11-16.
Kaylan Mitchell led the way for the Royals hitting 4-4 from the free-point line.
The Coastal Georgia Mariners had four players reach double digit points including Solrun Gisladottir who racked up 25 points hitting 7-13 three-pointers on the night.
The Royals will shift focus and try to bounce back as they will face another Sun Conference foe this Saturday December 8
that 2:00 p.m. against Thomas University.
