LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner Royals are post season bound and will host (RV) Southeastern University Thursday at 7:00 P.M. for the Sun Conference Quarter Finals.

The Royals entered the night against the Wildcats knowing they needed to win for a chance to host the Quarter Final match. The first half looked promising as the Royals went into the half leading 43-36. Melton Sanders had 13 points and 6 rebounds followed closely by Denzell Osson with 10 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.

The Wildcats heated up in the second half practically hitting every shot made. The Wildcats outscored the Royals 52-45 in the second half tying the game up at 88-88 and sending it into overtime. In the second half, Melton Sanders was trying to take advantage of the senior night scoring another 19 points and adding 2 takeaways.

In overtime play, it was the Royals that heated up and couldn't miss. They took the lead and kept it, leading by 7 points with 1:22 left in OT. The Royals were leading 102-99 with 00:15 seconds left in the game. The Wildcats managed to get off a 3-point shot with only 4 seconds remaining, missing the shot they collected their own rebound and again was able to get off a 3-point attempt that fell short as the buzzer sounded. The Royals took home the Senior Day victory with an overtime win of 102-99.

The Royals will now play host to the visiting Southeastern University Fire. The Sun Conference Quarter Final will be played at Warner University in the Turner Athletic Center on Thursday February 22^nd at 7:00 p.m.
