LAKE WALES, Fla. – The dynamic duo of
Melton Sanders and
Khalil Ozuna again combined for 50+ points in a game but could not hold off the Top 10 Bobcats. Sanders(585) and Ozuna(514) both have scored 500+ points on the year.
The Royals got off to a hot start jumping ahead in the first 10 minutes of the game to what would be the largest lead of the night by either team at 24-11. The Royals then missed 4 consecutive attempts at the basket while St. Thomas capitalized on every one and cut the lead to just 5 in a 2 minute span. The Bobcats took over later in the half, then a Royals jumper by
Khalil Ozuna right before the half made it a 44-40 halftime score in favor of the Bobcats.
In the second half, the bobcats extended their lead out to 12 with 5 minutes to go in the game.

Khalil Ozuna sparked a small rally for the Royals cutting into the lead. Despite a last second 3-pointer from
Melton Sanders, the Royals dropped the Sun Conference matchup to the Top 10 Bobcats 94-89.

Khalil Ozuna enters the season 500 point club with his 26 points last night as he now sits at 514 on the year with 5 games of scoring 22+ points.
