Royals Split With Warriors, Use 8th Inning Offensive Barrage To Win Game 2

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner Royals (23-15, TSC 5-9) took on the visiting Webber International Warriors (21-16, TSC 6-8). The 3 game series started out with a split between both squads. Webber took game 1, 11-1 in an 8 inning run rule. Warner fought in a heroic 8th inning to take game 2, 8-4.

GAME 1 WU 1, WIU 11

The Warriors found the long ball with Begg who homered twice including a grand slam in the 3rd. Rivera added a solo shot later on in the 7th inning. The Royals would drop game 1, 11-1.

GAME 2 WU 8, WIU 4

The Warriors leaped out in front in the top of the 2nd with 1 run. The Royals answered in the bottom of the 3rd with a Cole Parks fielder's choice that scored Kevin Troncoso. The Warriors added two more runs taking a 3-1 lead over the Royals. Warner fired up in the 8th inning. Junior Fermin singled into right field and scored Cole Parks. Jesse Haney shot a double all the way to the left field fence that scored Rio Russell. Cal Sanelli doubled up the doubles and hit a towering ball off the wall in left center that was just a few feet shy of a homer, his double scored Fermin and Haney. Rafael Astacio stepped in for a pinch hit chance and smacked another double for the Royals, this time off the right field fence that scored Derek Deler and Cal Sanelli. The Royals 8th inning barrage finished off with Troncoso scoring on a wild pitch to give the Royals an 8-3 lead.
