Men’s Basketball Roars Past Carver Heading To NCCAA South Regional Final

COLUMBIA, SC. – Warner University defeated Carver to move onto the NCCAA South Regional Finals. Melton Sanders scores 29 points and falls 1 rebound shy of a double double with 9.

The Royals shot 57% from the field on the game. They carried a 46-39 lead into the 1st half. The second half showed even play by both teams scoring 42 apiece. The Royals came away with the victory over the Cougars 88-81 and will advance to the NCCAA South Regional Finals against Emmanuel College (Ga.).

Melton Sanders came away with 29 points. He added 9 rebounds, 7 of which were defensive grabs. Jalen Williams fired up for 21 points and 8 assists with 2 takeaways defensively. Andrew Lamb came away with 5 rebounds and continued to be a defensive barrier blocking 3.

The Royals will take on Emmanuel College (Ga.) tomorrow March 9th at 4:00 p.m. for the finals. The Lions defeated Piedmont International by 19 early on in the day to advance in the finals. Elijah Robinson had 21 points for the Lions and Kendrick Colvin add 19 of his own.
