Royals head coach
Eric Snyder had this to say about the season, "Success can be defined in many ways and I truly believe we had a successful season. We hit some bumps in the road with multiple injuries to key players late in the season and other challenges heading into the conference tournament. However, they pulled through and went undefeated in conference play winning the regular season title. I was very proud of the Energy, Effort and Enthusiasm we showed down the stretch. It was truly remarkable to watch this very young team develop and grow into a winning program after losing every single starter from the 2017 squad."
As a team, the Royals had three top-10 rankings in the country for the NAIA. They ranked #3 in service aces per game with 1.930. #8 in total service aces with 135 on the season. They rounded it out with a #9 ranking in hitting percentage with .259%.
Four players finished out the year with top-10 rankings in the country for the NAIA.

"We are also excited to be joining the Mid-South Conference, which has expended to 10 teams and men's volleyball moving forward toward a NAIA Championship Sport in 2019," said coach Snyder. It is a big move for the sport and the NAIA adding on another nationally recognized championship sport.
Coach Snyder just finished his first year with the program and has already made history. If that wasn't enough, he now adds the Southeast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year to his name. "God continues to bless our program on a daily basis and we will look forward to getting ready for another great...and, God willing, longer season next year. GO ROYALS!" exclaimed coach Snyder.
