LAKE WALES, Fla – The Lady Royals were firing on all cylinders tonight as they took down the Ave Maria University Gyrenes 5-0. This is a very impressive win for the team as Ave Maria is also in the Sun Conference, however, tonight was not a conference match. The first half saw on offensive explosion from Warner as the found the back of the net on 3 different occasions. In the 10

Betina Gerhardt captured her first goal of the year off an assist from #24 Brooke Bloomel. Less than 10 minutes later #21
Lexi Garcia again found the back of the net for Warner, extending the lead to 2-0.
As the half continued the Lady Royals kept applying the pressure on the offensive side of the ball and struck pay dirt one more time in the 40

Denise Ortiz. The half would end with Warner ahead of Ave 3-0.
As the second half started Warner wasted no time getting to business as #27
Betina Gerhardt knocked in her 2
nd goal of the year, making the lead an impressive 4-0. Three minutes later #18 Rachel Deweerd knocked in an exciting unassisted goal, bringing the lead up to 5.
The defense came out in full effect for the Lady Royals tonight as they held the Gyrenes to 6 total shots, making life easy for goalie #1

Shannon Pierce was able to log in some minutes at goalie for the Royals. Warner ended the match with 18 total shots and 13 on goal.
