Warner Men’s Soccer – Royals Rage Tough Battle Against No. 9 Southeastern Fire In Sun Conference Game Of The Week

LAKE WALES, Fla.- In tonight's game Warner University Men's soccer hosted No. 9 the Southeastern University Fire. The match would end with a Fire 2-1 victory.
 
The Fire as of today have jumped from No. 13 to No. 9 Nationally. The Royals trail the Fire 3-6-1 in Sun Conference Play since 2006.
 
In the first half the Fire jumped ahead to a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute and had 7 shots with 4 on goal and found the back of the net with two minutes remaining in the half. 
 
Southeastern started the second half just as fast as the first and were able to knock in another goal in the first ten minutes. Jake Van Der Luit found the net and was assisted by Julian Hall, holding the Fire lead 2-0. 
 
In the 69th minute, the Royals Daniel Rodriguez was able to find the back of the net for the 7th time this season as he gave the Royals the only goal of the match with the assist credited to Juan Gazzotti. Rodriquez leads the Royals in total goals scored this season with 7. 
 
Unfortunately for the Royals they were not able to come back and fell to the No. 9 Fire 2-1. The Royals are now 5-5 on the season and 2-2 in Sun Conference play.
 
The Royals host the Crooked Lake rivals Webber International University on Saturday, October 12th at 7:00 P.M.
