Warner Women’s Volleyball – Royals Complete Season Sweep Over Warriors

LAKE WALES, Fla. – After a thrilling three-set sweep of cross-town Rival Webber International, the Warner Royals have completed a season sweep over the Warriors.

Warner - 5-12 (TSC -3-8)

Webber International – 7-14 (3-9)

This is the 10thall-time win for the Royals in this series, which stands at 10-23 in favor of the Warriors, and is also the largest margin of victory for the Royals in the
series, 3-0. 

1stSet: (WU – 25; WIU – 23)

2ndSet: (WU – 25; WIU – 21)

3rdSet: (WU – 25; WIU – 22)

The Royals were backed by on the largest crowds the TAC has seen this year, with over 200 people present to witness and cheer on the sweep. 

As the match progressed through the 2nd and 3rd sets, the Royals kill percentage increased exponentially; rising from 29% in the 1st set, to 56% in the 2nd, and finishing with 61% in the 3rd.

Alexandra Gonzalez led the team in kills for the 12th time this season with 13 in the match and earned her 8th double-double, after finishing with 10 digs. 

Madison Hughes notched a team high 11 assists and back from injury Savanah Griffin had a game-high 18 digs in the win.

With 5 matches left, all of which are TSC matches, the Royals are hopeful to win out and make a push for a playoff spot in the TSC tournament.
